Photography
I started my journey as a teenager with a peaked interest and a phone. I enrolled in a photography class and got my hands on a professional camera for the first time in my life. Through borrowed time, I explored different settings, styles, and found my passion for storytelling through a lens. By senior year, I saved up enough money and bought my first Canon DSLR.

In college I met people from all over the world and captured every moment I could. With time, those same people started to hire me to capture their milestones - graduations, engagements, weddings, and proffessional portraits.

Following my graduation and the start of my professional career, I continue to capture moments and milestones, explore cameras, and maintain my peaked interest in photography.
Journalism
In my pursuit of a meaningful career I chose to major in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism at Cal Poly Pomona. My top priorities as I stepped onto campus were to get involved in the school’s newspaper and a journalism club. I immediately joined the Society of Professional Journalists and quickly moved up in the club’s board of members.

With my experience as the public relations chair of Hermanas Unidas my first year I was swiftly elected as SPJ’s public relations outreach my sophomore year. My last two years I was elected as the club’s president - during which I helped rebuild our online presence, invited experienced journalists to our school, and scheduled tours for club members to gain more insight of our future careers.

Simultaneously, I took the credits necessesary to start writing for the school newspaper, began a paid position as The Poly Post’s social media manager, and left with an award for Best Investigative Story.
